Bill is founder and President of HR & ADR Services, LLC, a human resources and conflict management consultancy. Bill works with family businesses, public companies, law firms and associations in providing a variety of HR and conflict management services.

Bill started his work career in a steel mill, became a United Steel Worker representative and has more than 25 years experience as an HR executive, consultant, business owner and corporate executive. His work experience has been with such international companies as Bechtel, Firestone, Racemark International, Dominion Textile and BBA PLC.  In his various roles he has had to take on foreign projects and assignments in the Americas, Asia, Europe and South America. His executive responsibilities have included Senior Executive VP HR/Administration, President & COO and VP Human Resources and Industrial Relations, as well as Arbitrator and Mediator on commercial and employment cases and third- party employment investigator.

He has led his own consulting companies in the franchise and family business brokerage sectors where he worked with founders in developing succession strategies or packaging their business for sale or consolidation.  In the franchise industry, he owned Franchise Business Network, part of the Frannet group of affiliates that brokered a variety of different retail and business to business franchises.   He also owned and operated a business brokerage company, Country Business Services in upstate New York.

He studied at McGill, Wharton and LaSalle universities earning a business and legal degree.  He is a TN Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, member of the American Arbitration Association commercial and labor panels, Ombudsman Association, American Bar Association, Association for Conflict Resolution, Labor and Employment Research Association, and Society for Human Resources Management.

Bob is President of Performance Solutions LLC, a firm that specializes in personal and business coaching to enhance individual growth and development and organizational performance. His implementation of results-oriented, innovative approaches enables the client to maximize their potential while achieving outcomes once thought to be beyond their reach.

Prior to founding Performance Solutions LLC in 2004, Bob spent 29 years in business, including 11 years as President of two divisions at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a global industry leader in household consumer products and two years as President of BBA Fiberweb, the largest supplier of polyester and polypropylene fabrics in the world. Bob has a proven track record of achieving business results, developing and acquiring businesses and solving complex business issues.  He is highly effective at implementing change management programs, developing strategic and business plans, facilitating quality improvement processes and developing highly productive teams and individuals.  Bob has broad-based experience in finance, logistics, customer service, operations and general management.Bob has extensive international business experience having managed international companies and regions and has acquired and developed new business in India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Turkey and Israel for Kimberly-Clark. He sat on the Boards of several international affiliates during that period and was stationed in Vienna, Austria with Kimberly-Clark for three years.  Bob developed a global management development consortium for senior business managers in cooperation with Thunderbird University and five other global corporations that trained over one hundred of Kimberly-Clark’s high potential international managers.  Bob also lived in South America for ten years while growing up and is fluent in Spanish. 

Bob earned an MBA in Finance and a BS in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.  He is active in his community as a volunteer and Board member at the Nashville Salvation Army and has held Board positions with several non-profits where he has lived across the US.  He is also CFO and member of the Board of The Caregiver Partnership a new business venture that supplies medical and healthcare products to home caregivers.

William Canak

William Canak
, Professor of Sociology at Middle Tennessee State University since 1994, received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981.  After an NIMH funded post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University, he was a faculty member at Brown University, Tulane University and Loyola University.  A Fulbright Fellow (Argentina) and Contributing Editor to the Library of Congress' Handbook of Latin American Studies since 1981, Dr. Canak's research on Latin American development includes numerous articles in professional journals and two books, Lost Promises (Westview Press, 1989) and Modern Mexico (McGraw-Hill, 1998).  His academic research in the field of labor law and industrial relations has appeared in such professional journals as the Industrial & Labor Relations Review and the Journal of Collective Negotiations, and Proceedings of the Industrial Relations Research Association.  Dr. Canak is past president of the Tennessee Employment Relations Research Association and former Associate Director of the Tennessee Center for Labor-Management Relations.  His consulting practice addresses a range of organizational and industrial relations research and training concerns, including surveys of work attitudes, relations and practices, design of organizational dispute resolution programs, program evaluation and job design. Dr. Canak’s clients include the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service, Eaton Corporation, Komatsu America Corporation, AT&T, the AFL-CIO, LIUNA, Tennessee Education Association and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.

Richard Lindner is founder and President of Performance Development Group (PDG), a learning and performance company.  Working with corporate executives, entrepreneurs and sales teams, Richard brings a broad base of experience to his clients, which enables him to assist many types of organizations in their quest to solve problems, improve or capitalize on opportunities.

Richard has more than thirty years of management experience in retail food and beverage, retail grocery, electronics systems prepress, photographic supplies, equipment & electronic systems and printing industry.  In addition to his roles as instructor and facilitator, he has held such positions as National Sales Manager, Business Unit Manager, Worldwide Marketing Director, Senior Vice President, Owner and President.

Richard has managed groups of up to 500 people and worked with companies ranging in size from $5 million to $20 billion in revenue.  His business career and client experience combine to give him a full understanding of effective workplace dynamics, organizational effectiveness and personal development and growth.

Richard has a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and has participated in numerous Executive Management Programs from Harvard, Michigan, Syracuse, Penn State and Columbia University.

Richard consults with companies attempting to grow their business into new markets, new product lines or attempting to maximize their current opportunities.  He has also assisted organizations in defining visions, mission statements, long term strategies and corporate values.

Joseph Peter Cangemi

Joseph P. Cangemi attended the State University of New York at Oswego for his undergraduate preparation (recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, 1983), then went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University and a doctorate from Indiana University.  In 1996 he received an honorary doctorate (LLD) from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri and in 2001, sponsored by the Russian Academy of Sciences, he was awarded a DHC (Doctorate Honoris Causa, an honorary doctorate from Moscow State University of Humanities in Moscow, Russia).  His early experience involved teaching and administrative responsibilities in a variety of settings, including a Caribbean assignment in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic.  For four years he was a member of the Industrial Relations staff in Venezuela of one of the most profitable subsidiaries of United States Steel Corporation.

Since 1968 he has engaged in leadership and organization development activities with numerous Fortune 500 corporations, including Eaton Corporation, Bridgestone/Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, General Motors, Coca-Cola, FMC, Standard Products, Clark Equipment, Redman Industries, Dayco, Emerson Electric, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Borg Warner, and Dana Corporation, as well as state/federal government, private/public institutions of higher education, and the United States Military.  He also has been involved with organizations in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Canada, China, Russia, Romania, the Philippine Island and South Africa.  In 1978 and again in 1983, he was awarded a Decreto for service to the State of Santander, Colombia, South America.  In 1983 he was invited to Japan by Gould Corporation to study Japanese style management, first hand.  In 1985 the Polish Academy of Sciences requested he join a select group of professionals to determine how organization development could improve the Polish economy.  In 1989 he was invited to a private luncheon with Lech Walesa, Polish Solidarity leader, Nobel Prize winner and past President of Poland, where problems in Poland were discussed.  He is author or co-author of 18 books and monographs, over 300 papers and published articles, and presently serves as editor of Psychology and Education – An Interdisciplinary Journal.  He was editor of Journal of Human Behavior and Learning and Organization Development Journal from 1983 to 1988.  His articles have been cited in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Self Magazine, Human Behavior Magazine, Parade Magazine, Public Service Radio, Radio Columbia and other well known communications vehicles.

Dr. Cangemi has been a member of the Psychology Department at Western Kentucky University since 1968.  In 1979, 1991 and 1999, he received the Excellence in Productive Teaching Award and in 1987 the Excellence in Research/Creativity Award from the University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences.  In 1983 he was presented Western Kentucky University’s Distinguished Public Service Award.  He was the featured personality in 1989 in Organization Development Journal, and in 1992 he was highlighted with Lech Walesa on the cover of the journal Education.  In 1994, he received a Diplomate in Professional Counseling from the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy.

Dr. Cangemi is married to the former Amelia Santalo of Havana, Cuba and they have two daughters, Michelle and Lisa Ann, and four grandchildren.
