Bill Rusak is founder and President of HR & ADR Services LLC, a human resources and conflict management consultancy. Bill works with all business sectors, law firms, unions and associations in providing a variety of HR, ER and conflict management services.
Bill started his work career in a steel mill as a United Steel Workers representative and has more than 30 years experience in the field of human resources as a corporate executive, consultant, business owner and board of directors member. His work experience has been with such international and national companies as Bechtel, Firestone, Racemark International, Dominion Textile, BBA PLC and Corrections Corporation of America. In his various roles he has taken on foreign projects and assignments in the Americas, Asia, Europe and South America. His executive responsibilities have included senior executive positions in HR and as President & COO. He studied at McGill, Wharton and LaSalle universities and has a legal degree. He is a TN Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, member of the American Arbitration Association commercial and labor panels and, amongst others, was a SHRM delegate to the People to People Ambassador Program to China. Bill is a member of the Advisory Board at the Center for Conflict Dynamics.

William Canak, Ph.D.

William Canak, Professor of Sociology at Middle Tennessee State University since 1994, received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. After an NIMH post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University, he was a faculty member at Brown University, Tulane University and Loyola University. A Fulbright Fellow (Argentina, 1988) and Contributing Editor to the Library of Congress' Handbook of Latin American Studies since 1981, Dr. Canak's research on Latin American development includes numerous articles in professional journals, such as the Latin American Research Review and two books, Lost Promises (Westview Press, 1989) and Modern Mexico (McGraw-Hill, 1998). His research in the field of labor law and industrial relations includes numerous articles in professional journals such as the Industrial & Labor Relations Review and the Journal of Collective Bargaining in the Public Sector. He is past president of the Tennessee Employment Relations Research Association and former Associate Director of the Tennessee Center for Labor-Management Relations. Dr. Canak's consulting practice addresses a range of workplace, organizational and industrial relations research and training concerns. He completed the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service’s Labor Arbitrator Institute in 2007 and teaches courses on conflict, negotiation & dispute resolution. His applied research services include workplace surveys of work attitudes, relations and practices, design of organizational dispute resolution programs, program evaluation and job design.

Joseph P. Cangemi attended the State University of New York at Oswego for his undergraduate preparation (recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, 1983), then went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University and a doctorate from Indiana University. In 1996 he received an honorary doctorate (LLD) from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri and in 2001, sponsored by the Russian Academy of Sciences, he was awarded a DHC (Doctorate Honoris Causa, an honorary doctorate from Moscow State University of Humanities in Moscow, Russia). Since 1968 he has engaged in leadership and organization development activities with numerous Fortune 500 corporations, including Eaton Corporation, Bridgestone/Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, General Motors, Coca-Cola, FMC, Standard Products, Clark Equipment, Redman Industries, Dayco, Emerson Electric, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Borg Warner, and Dana Corporation, as well as state/federal government, private/public institutions of higher education, and the United States Military. Dr. Cangemi has been a member of the Psychology Department at Western Kentucky University since 1968. In 1979, 1991 and 1999, he received the Excellence in Productive Teaching Award and in 1987 the Excellence in Research/Creativity Award from the University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. In 1983 he was presented Western Kentucky University’s Distinguished Public Service Award. In 1994, he received a Diplomate in Professional Counseling from the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy.

Gary C. Mohr

Gary
Mohr has 35 years of service including leadership and executive leadership positions in the corrections and criminal justice field. During his career he served on the Governor’s Cabinet in Ohio as Director of the Governor’s Office of Criminal Justice implementing creative, efficient and accountable options to the high cost of incarceration. Also in this roll, he was appointed as chair of the Governor’s Taskforce on Gun Violence developing multiple pieces of legislation to reduce gun violence and was appointed to chair the Cause Committee for the 1993 Lucasville riot. During his work with prison management, he held the positions of Deputy Commissioner for Operations by directing prisons in Ohio and Administration with responsibility for development and maintenance of billion dollar budgets, staff development, technology, audits prison construction and renovation and prison industry. He also served as warden of several prisons including the activation of a new facility.
Gary has also consulted for over two decades with the National Institute of Corrections. During his technical assistance as well as his tenure in Ohio and with CCA he has developed multiple executive leadership, middle management and front line supervisory training. He has implemented unit management in multiple jurisdictions. Gary was also part of the NIC initiative to implement cultural assessments and cultural interventions throughout facilities in the United States. He has been used as a consultant throughout correctional jurisdictions in both public and private corrections for the purpose of improving effectiveness, efficiency, enhancing safety and security for inmates and quality of work life for correctional employees.

He is Chair the International Development Committee of the Association for Conflict Resolution’s International Section; Director of Conflict Prevention & Resolution for the Peruvian American Business Council based in New York, US.
Luis Ore has Master degrees with focuses on conflict management, organizational and cross-cultural communication, a J.D. from the University of Lima (Peru), and extensive training in negotiation and conflict management from CMI International Group, Western Kentucky University, Lipscomb University, and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Luis Ore previously practiced law in Peru in the private sector and worked with the Peruvian government.

Leigh Ann Roberts

Leigh Ann Roberts, was raised in Jackson, Mississippi and attended undergraduate and law school at the University of Mississippi. Leigh Ann received her mediation training in 1998 and is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General/Civil Mediator with years of experience mediating civil lawsuits and workplace and community disputes. Leigh Ann is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Tennessee and is a committee member of the Association for Conflict Resolution’s National Commercial Section, Chair of the Nashville Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, President Elect of the Tennessee Association for Professional Mediators, volunteer mediator for the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, and active member of the Nashville Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate for Women, the Nashville & Tennessee Bar Associations, and other community groups. Mark Travis worked as a labor and employment law litigation attorney for over 20 years before becoming a full-time counselor, trainer and neutral. He has extensive experience in mediating complex employment disputes, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and designing dispute resolution systems in the workplace. Travis is a roster mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Association of Securities Dealers, the National Arbitration Forum, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the American Arbitration Association, and is listed on the Employment Panel of CPR’s Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. He currently serves as chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, and is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law and Tennessee Tech University. Travis received his juris doctorate from the University of Louisville, and his Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
